What I want my life to be.

I want to live a life that differs from those around
To not be of the world but a light that in darkness will surround.

I want to be a friend who is not afraid to share
 of the God who loves me dearly, my burdens He does Bare.

I want to be a daughter who only listens to my father above
When my earthly family may fail, He showers me with unconditional love.

I want to be a student who can discern what is right.
Things will be said that I am weary of, but my teachers words are light.

I want to be a teacher who speaks and does not hide
To share the words of God where only truth abides.

I want to be a Christian who when tested will never back down
That when living in this world, they do not see me but HE who wears the crown.



I wrote this in church on Sunday, thinking about all the things that I need to give up to God to truly be the person that God wants me to be. This is my ultimate prayer, that I may be ALL that God wants and do EVERYTHING for Him.I want every part of my life to be given to Him, to know that everything I have is from Him. I want to be a witness by just being alive.
