Change Me

My flesh longs for things that are not of you
But with these things only pain will ensue.

My soul yearns to do the work of Your name
to tell of your story, of why you came.

Change me Lord, make me Yours. Help me throw away what's not of you in my life.
Change me Lord.

My mind wanders from what You tell me to do
I continually walk away and fight You.

My heart desires to be at peace
For all of the pain, worry, and disobedience to cease.

Change me Lord, make me Yours
Help me to focus on what you teach in Your words.
Change me Lord, make me different from this World.

Your Peace

Ease my mind,
heal my heart
no matter the pain I feel,
You will never depart

Show me Your word
teach me Your commands
let me only act as Your hands

Wipe my tears
Help me know this will pass
remind me that what I am feeling now will not last.

Help me trust that Your plan is perfect
and to see that you are too
Wrap me in your arms
because all I want is You.

This is just a prayer. A prayer asking for understanding and for the peace that only God can give. We long to know what God is doing in our lives but it's not always meant for us to know. So I am asking God to give me peace, to remind me of the things that he continually tells me all the time. We are not naturally peaceful people. God tells us to trust in HIM, to cast our worries upon HIM for HIS peace will overcome us.

Focus my Mind

Focus my mind Lord, on only things of you.
Help me to obey and to do what you tell me to.

Bring to my attention works to do in your name
Not because of others or for my own fame.

Help me to remember that your will is perfect and in your time
That if I take it into my own hands, against you I will commit crimes

Focus my life Lord, to walk the path you have made
Help me not to stray but to keep my face upon my Lord who saves.
