Longing for you Lord

Lord I long to know You more everyday.
Shape me, form me to be like You in every way.

I long to give You glory in all that I do,
Give me words, give me songs, I pray in my heart they only see You.

I long to fall deeper in love with you as long as I breath.
use me, test me, You are all that I need.

I long for those in the dark to be saved by your blood.
that they would know and they would live in your never ending love.

But most of all I long to live my life according to You.
My maker, my savior, my comfort, Whatever YOUR will I will do.  


This is a prayer in some sorts and a declaration in others. It's a longing to do whatever my God asks of me without grumbling or complaining or being afraid. (Which, let's face it are all very human reactions) It's a declaration that whatever He has told me to do, or where He has told me to go i will, and that I will go through anything just to be closer to God and to be like Him. 

The last line I just actually changed to list all things that we call our God and things he is to us. He has given us a gift of eternal life and now EVERYTHING we do should be giving glory back to Him because we CANNOT do anything without Him.

I know I kind of got off on a tangent a little bit but I hope You all are blessed none the less.

I was listening to this song and I was so overcome by the lyrics. Is God only good when things are going great and I am happy all the time? That's the first problem though. Happiness is temporary and it's because of an action. We have the JOY OF THE LORD! Our joy is with him!

I guess God has really been working on my heart to remember that I answer to Him, Everything is secure in HIM. Nothing else can compare to God and who HE is.

We walk around sharing the gospel and talking about how great God is when things are great but what are we doing when things aren't so great? (I am preaching to myself as much as anyone else!)

God is still God even when things are dark and things seem like they can't get better. They can, they will because we have our God. He loves His children so, so much. Such a great and loving God. EVERYTHING WE DO SHOULD GIVE HIM GLORY.

I have been challenged to find the "Go God" moments in everyday. God created everything? So how many Go God moments do You think there are? My guess is that everything is a Go God moment in some way. Everything is because of God, and to God ALONE be the gory.

"For from Him and through Him and for Him are all things, To him be the gory forever! Amen."

Christ-Like Heart

Oh Lord, I cry out to you from the depth of my heart.

Help me, hold me, I surrender all to you.


Wipe my tears, ease my fears, and tell me what you want me to do?


I try to glorify you in all that I do; I read your word and witness to those who don’t know your name.


Lord! Why do I feel hated? Tell me I have done nothing in which you blame!


Oh Lord, I hurt deep in my soul.


Help me to sing once again, for you only I sing because you are all that can make me whole!


Hold my hand; help me stand for what you say is right.


Give me strength, and give me words in me be a shining light.


Oh Lord, I cry to you from all the pain I feel.


I cry to you because Only You can heal.


Everything is yours Lord, Everything is because of You.


You are only good, you are only right, you created everything, you were the start.


So Lord, Create in me a pure, whole, and Christ like heart.



This is literally a crying out for help to God. But as i was writing it i realized He was helping by allowing me to write this poem. He is so great, so good. Knowing his love is everlasting eases my anxious heart. Hope you were blessed.

The Love of God.

Today is Valentines day, and most people focus on their significant other. The candy, and presents, and valentines day cards, But do we ever stop to think of the greatest love of all? Gods love?

Lately I have been going through some things that made me feel horrible inside and very hurt but how can I feel that way when I have such a loving and wonderful God? How can I feel alone when He is ALWAYS there? How can I feel sad when I know that the bad and the good is used for HIS glory? How can I ask why? when I know he has all the answers? How can I be hurt when He is the ultimate comforter?

We fail to see that it is NEVER about us, that God knows what is going to happen in every situation because HE is in complete control. Not us, never us. God gave his only Son to die for us, so that we may have an intimate relationship with Him and that through Christs' sacrifice our sins would be atoned for.

We Love because HE first loves us. We can't do anything without him. We can't breath, we can't walk, we can't laugh or sing. WE can't love without him.

So let's really stop thinking about ourselves and the candy, and presents, but think about God and the great everlasting love that He gives as a gift. Thank Him. Because God is always faithful and who can You say loves you like that?

How big is your God?

What can He do?

How does He help?

Who is He to you?

How big is the God who created everything?

How big is your God? Is he Lord of Lords, King of Kings?

How big is the God who is perfect in everyway?

How big is the God who is always there, everyday?

How big is the God who know everything and everyone?

How big is the God who for us, gave up His only Son?

So again I ask,

How big is the only God?

What can't He do?

He will always help.

Know him, for he has always known you.
